Re: ut4_ruins
Unfortunately everything that you see is done procedurally with fractal-based computed displacements, everything from the dunes to the sand grains. So I am unable to share I think what I do. Otoh, I can give you the RGB values of my shaders so you can match the color of the sand if you like.

Re: ut4_ruins
Thanks! Feel free to give me more specifics about positioning of the sun, for example. I see that it has been suggested to put the sun up high. I can do that of course if you like, but it will made the terrain less detailed. Also, let me know when you would like delivery of a draft set of images to ...

Re: CMM Design a Map Competition
Iye Thanks for the nice comment. These two images are renders using Terragen 2. Renders like this at 1024X1024 take me (on my old 2-core computer) about 2 hours. Converted to jpg for a skybox, they are the same as any jpg image regarding resources I imagine. You will have to ask the mapper experts a...

Thank you Banksy!
Any special requests? I will see what I can do.
Easy stuff to add: clouds (any kind incl. volumetric) piles of rocks, water.
Here is another panel:
