What are the basics for designing a great Capture and Hold map? Is it best to have an even or odd number of capturepoints?

Won't this require a lot of triggers to make a river flow? How would a player escape the river?

I'm working on an idea for CAH with 27 points in a 3x3x3 cube layout with vertical water tunnels that could not exist in real life as a means of vertical travel. I could also do this on a smaller map for absolute chaos.

Because I am doing both I am making a wacky fun map based on MC Escher drawings and other impossible constructions, which will have 27 CAH_capturepoints. It is going to be 23 caps now because of the way I am doing the spawnrooms. I should have a good alpha picture within a week.
I would think a better way would be to set capturetime to ~5 seconds and dramatically raise the score needed to win.

Yeah, I got it for school and wasn't really thinking of anything like this at the time (3 years ago). I wasn't going to run max/radiant/gimp together, unless there is some reason why I have to. What does running one at a time save me in this analysis?
