texture glitch

I have been fixing up a map that LCDLC leadership found that was in bad shape. It is almost done, except for a few instances of the texture glitch you see here.

The rocky texture should be there, but it compiles like caulk and the skybox behind the brush shows. Different brushes do this on different compiles, and when I fix some brushes, more do this. What causes this and how do I stop it?

You sometimes get this where brushes are structural and overlap, or there are dulicate brushes. Try a brush clean up.

And.. If you're fixing a map made b another, you should ask for his permission..

I solved it. There were way too many structural brushes. I made a bounding box and it worked fine.

wtf? NEVER make a box around a map, just make those brushes detail instead of structural.
