Texturing Models

i'm new to mapping and i've got the basics down and i was trying to bring a model into my newby map then try to texture it. then i found out you cant so i got blender and tried in there too, still no luck can someone help me out here? :P

If they are not helping tell me becouse i want to have a set of tutorials for blender that is simple to folow and give you the basics.
If you got any feedback at all id like that too GL :D

Thanks that helped i can get the texture to go on it in blender but now when i export it and open it in gtk radiant im still getting the black a blue cubes shader not found so i must be doing something wrong when i export

Are you exporting to md3 or ase?

do you place the textures in the right folder?
are you using "/" or "\"?
are you sure the path is right?

You should use "/"
and it the path have to end with one too.
eg. "models/dagf/btf/" that is the path to my back to the future folder and i got the textures there.

ahk so after ive chosen my destination folder and the shader path comes up id go models/mapobjects/texture/folder or models/mapobjects/texture/folder/texture name
