Maya md3 plugin?
Re: Maya md3 plugin?
is info_player_deathmatch an accurate size? like for a doorway, how much leeway is there between the info_player_deathmatch touching the floor, to the top of a door?

Re: Maya md3 plugin?
Set the entity in front of doors and make doors 70% taller. That will give you enough room for doors you can walk through, but not exactly jump through. So it's a good size for normal doors and decorative doors.

Entity touches the floor right? In grid 8 the entity is 7 units tall and 4 units wide. Make your doors around 9 to 10 units tall. If the doors are too big they will look gigantic when a player stands next to them, if they're too small they will look like they're made for midgets.
Player model in real world scale is around 6 feet tall, info_player_deathmatch entity is around 5'5.

Compile and test. Doesn't work out? Change, compile, test again. Don't rely solely on entities, check out stuff yourself until it looks right ingame. You will eventually get the scale into your head and won't need references for most things.

http://gotdelirium.com/maps/others/measure.def
you can also download this for more then just player standing height..
right click, save link as. should already come up as measurement.def or something, place that file in your scripts folder and youre good. in radiant right click and youll see measurement in there youll find several different measurements. now again you will still want to adjust doorways and such as you wont want them to be the exact height of the play model but it def helps.
