Mapping on OpenArena

I would like to make maps for OpenArena. I'm pretty into UrbanTerror mapping so it shouldn't be too hard, does anyone know some differences between mapping for these two games? New entities, setting up Radiant for OpenArena...

Should be some good documentation about it at the OpenArena site.

One thing I can tell you is that Open Arena is exactly like Quake 3 Arena, just with different models. So, really mapping for Open Arena = mapping for Q3A.

Obviously the player movement and abilities are different (no walljumping, no powersliding, no stamina loss, no sprint circle jumping (but there is real strafe jumping instead), no or very tiny falling damage.

there are packages for both games, and yeah...
you should know about where to put the weapons, health bubbles and stuff...
also good locations for rocketjumps, plasma runs and good jumps (strafe/q3a circle jumps ofcourse, they have no sprint)

if you want to play Quake 3 Arena or QuakeLive hit me up, but OpenArena I'd have to download first ;)

I want to check out new games and not just stick with uRt (yh i say it that way lol)

"New" games or "other" games? Open Arena is certainly not new :p

other games. btw only the engine is old, graphics look the same as urt 4.1 or maybe a little worse...
