It might be a good opportunity for frag mappers to try jump mapping.

That is a bit of a problem. Frag mappers like me can't jump, and since rules forbid testing by a 3'rd party...it would not play well.

if you calibrate by yourself you will actually get something good cause it will be homogeneous, there will probably be overjumps, but even the hardest maps are not always perfectly calibrated, but it is far better than maps with hellish, easy jumps mixed.

and even if pro wanabees scream like little girls about overjumps they are actually happy to brag about their skills... make a pro map, only pros will like it. make an easy one, beginners can do it, and pro can show off, everyone is happy...

out of topic but:
true it is not an easy map but it is calibrated by ourselves and not according to testers, and even if for example, good jumpers can no grab j6, we recalibrated it only to what SettinG or I can pass.

point is, i believe one should jump map what he can pass or have one tester to have something homogeneous.

Before the contest starts I think it'd be nice if t he CMM made a couple tutorials:
- How to make fancy water
- How to make bump and normal maps work in-game
- How to make terrain in GTK Valkover linked me to a vid showing it

I could use the 3 of them, but im sure lots of other people could use it too.

One tips id like to give: go download the mesurements.def file. It is very helpfull! It contains mesurements for how far a player can jump and any other player relevant mesurement i can think of :)
