Ok, i write here my idea for the Monthly Mapping Competition down. I think about rules and prices and and and...
PS: the name is a mirror from CMM

Monthly Mapping Competition - MMC

The Rules
- All mappers start on the FIRST of the month, not earlier.
- The Competition ends in every month on the 24th
- The Room have to look like the Theme
- The map has to be properly packaged and uploaded your .pk3 to any file sharing host.
- The 3. Decision-makers which map are the 3 maps to vote - the map with the most votes wins
- You can use only 7 models - not more
- You can use only 30 textures - not more

If ANYONE BRAKES THE RULES, HE WOULD BE DISQUALIFIED, BY A SECOND OR VERY HEAVY BRAKE, HE CAN'T JOIN THE COMPETITION FOR 2 MONTH'S

The Price
The Price is a Porträit of you and your map with wooden frames and the title "Mapper of the Month"

i think we can't start it this month, but so we have the time to think over thinks like that

Before it does start I would like to know if anyone is actually interested, if there is no interest it is pointless.

It is your idea so I think you should be a leader and it would be good for you to decide who you would like to help you.

I will have a think about some theme ideas too.

I could be a leader as i don't have that many time to map during school time...

Some theme ideas:
- Mall
- Restaurant
- Pharmacy
- Coffee Shop
- Gas Station
- Improvised Hospital (Containers, Tents, etc..)

I think we shouldn't do a contest every month.

I was more thinking about having two categories, map of the month and screenshot of the month.
In the first week of every new month, the community judges the best map releases/posted screenshot

I agree with Rylius - we're hoping rayne will come up with a new front page for this site and the map of the month promo will be great on this page.

Competitions are great and we do have a fund to pay prize money for future mapping competitions but we've just finished one, we've just moved, we're setting up a wiki and we're supporing the FTWGL guys in their competition

I've spoken to X3igh7 and offered custom map makers support in his competition so if you fancy a challenge, enter that competition.

When they've finished it will be perfect timing to announce the next custom map makers competition (with prize money).

However, it's worth posting your ideas for that mapping comp.

the "map of the month" was so my groundidea, it isnt bad,too but every month a jump map? i mean i NEVER created a normal jumpmap, i only working half in the moment on a lowgrav-jumpmap but...
