Arcade machine models

Post by johnnyenglish »

I have no idea why but I've started to make a set of arcade game models using genuine cabinet art and game screenshots.

So far I've started work on asteroids, donkey kong and pacman, all models were traced from actual machine plans so they should look good when they're finished, I'm still working on the images for these machines.

Am taking requests for other games while I'm in the mood, I'll release all the models as a CMM resource.

PS. The screens are all seperate and can use a shader with video or animap, the asteroids console has a 10 second video included.

Make one of those casino pool tables (round at edges..)

(would be a nice attraction on your map, if you press ctrl and stand on the thing an door goes down for half a second and you come into the trigger push below it ;) )

and of course, one of these

That's perfect for the bowling map I was making some time ago, it's time to pick it up again!

Will you make the screens RoQ videos?

I updated the first post with progress, I've finished pacman and donkeykong, still adding details to asteroids and space invaders and will start on your other ideas today.

I'll include 3 different shaders for the screens of each model, one with a static illuminated screen, one with a 4 frame animation and also a version which uses a roq video, the problem with video is that you can only display one at a time, I tried to use videos for the consoles in the star trek map.
