Sure, I'm crazy ... So I chose to get used to Radiant to make a small map on the theme of Versailles.
The idea is a CTF map oriented .....

Theme is awesome. Don't You wanna make more simpler map before? You know, to make some mistakes :)

yes I do not know if I do not choose something a bit complicated to start, but hey I'm in no hurry, and I tell myself that when I grew this map I have the basis for the suite with gtk .. .. Questions may rain on the forum help request ....

Also I wanted to start with a map with a maximum interior space and large enough for travel (avoiding narrow hallways ...), it's the only idea that seemed suited to these prerequisites

i think it is a great idea, especially for a first map. you should not settle for something less because it is your first one, but Maj has a point, you gonna run into a lot of trouble, which is probably the best thing to do :)

layout related, your layout seems to favor blue a lot... if spawns are closed there is only one entry point to blue flag, and if spawns are open there s a very fast route from red to blue flag through the garden area...

beware the mirrors, it can kill fps, how did you do yours: one big mirror or several one ?

mirrors are separate better with one big ?

most people here can give you far better tips on layout than I can :) but I ll see you on ts, anyway.

I do not know which is best, one or several mirrors; I was curious cause your fps seems suspiciously low considering you have a brand new computer, but it not necessarily related to the mirrors.

^^ no vis also could partially explain it.

that room will probably need a lot of work if like the photo you put large mirrors on one side and large window on the other side, cause that might be a fps killer.
