Late to the party, but here we go!
Introduced by a friend named Cybi I've played Urban Terror the first time in 2009 and was quickly fascinated by the action, jumps and slides! I remember beeing in awe seeing some very skilled players jumping around maps just to grab a flag, bang, bang, drop two players and WOOOSH, vanish around the walls. It was an amazing time to be alive.
Until a few years ago I didn't realize the vast amount of amazing maps the community has created. I didn't know this was such a thing (ignorant idiot me). Huge respect for the invested time, sweat and maybe also some blood
. The only mapping experience I have is when I tried to create a mobile app with Unity about the military training in Switzerland, while waiting sometimes long time during breaks.As one of the few Swiss players out there, growing up in the German speaking part of Switzerland, I kind of feeling obligated to create a map featuring the popular city of Zurich. Maybe later also Berne, Lucerne and lets see what else. At the base I'm a web dev, nowadays doing a lot of hybrid-apps with vuejs, capacitor, etc. In my free time I'm also very into 3D stuff, AR and VR.
