The new forum

Our beloved leader rayne has had to leave us to live his life.

So, at some point his original website will disappear, websites are not generally for free, for all time.

This leaves me with a choice, do I let the idea die or do I step in now and provide a new home for custom map makers?

I've decided that the custom map makers forum must survive and grow, the Urban Terror Mapping scene is vibrant and alive, new mappers come along every day looking for support and advice. Seasoned mappers need a place to discuss their projects with other mappers. A repository needs to be built for all the information spread all over the internet that will be lost unless it's gathered together.

This new forum, in this new home will be safe here to grow and expand, the forum is hosted by a professional host which provides nightly backups, off-site, real-time replication and co-located servers. The site has space for uploads and other resource downloads.

In the future it will be capable of hosting a wiki and any other extension the membership needs.

There is a custommapmakers.org email address available to anyone who wants one, just let me know the username and I'll set you up, pass along the server address for collection.

I'm also hoping to set up a dedicated custom map makers urban terror for both 4.1 and HD, more about this later.
