Hey guys...

Saw this image yesterday and I wondered, wouldn't this look neat in Urban Terror?
I wouldn't be easy to make it I believe, because the textures would need to look a like, a lot, but it's probably just one texture blended and moving on the main grass texture right?

It would cause huge fps drops i think.

Maybe.... I don't think so though. Unless the player is of course rendering huge areas textured with this.

It doesn't really look that complicated... just 1 or 2 textures, maybe animated, maybe scrolling... neither of which would cause much fps loss

That's an effect you would notice only from above, I think it looks bad when you actually play on it

It would probably end up looking like some kind of green water when standing on top of it.
You're better off using fur shader if you really wanna make a grass like effect. But to be honest even that looks rather crappy IMO.
